More Relief Aid Planned for Gorkha District

May 4, 2015

The death toll has surpassed 6,200. Thousands are still missing. Our team has been in Kathmandu for the past two days, making connections with aid groups on the ground and trying to find a way to work around the roadblocks.

Map of the areas most affected by the earthquake. Our main focus right now is the Gorkha District.

On Saturday morning, the team is planning to bring relief supplies to 140 families in the Lalitpur and Bhaktpur districts. On Sunday, they plan to return to Gorkha with folks from a clean water organization who have partnered with us to help bring clean water to the villages in the Gorkha District. Ten villages have been identified in that area who are desperately in need of clean water at this time.
