Connecting resources to opportunities!
Kanad Hospital
In 1960, American doctors Pat and Marian Kennedy came to the desert of Arabia to start Oasis Hospital at the invitation of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the father of the modern UAE. The incredible work that they began six decades ago continues today under the name of Kanad Hospital - renamed to honor the Kennedy family's legacy by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in 2019. From it's humble beginnings as a simple desert outpost, Kanad now boasts a state of the art facility with 136 beds and a modern NICU, all made possible by the love and support of Shaykh Mohamed and the Al Nahyan family. On October 1, 2020 True Sojourners had the honor of receiving the baton of ownership for this incredible institution, and it has quickly become our flagship project. We remain committed to our other work around the world, as it is this very work that qualified us to take on Kanad in the first place. Indeed, your support of Kanad Hospital strengthens all of True Sojourners' work around the world.
Bridge to Nepal
True Sojourners is a supporter of the Bridge to Nepal project, which started with the redemption of Nepali families from slavery. It has now become our largest project, involving the building of schools, the operation of a children's home, disaster relief, clean water and flood solutions, and much more. Please consider partnering with us in our efforts to bring generational transformation to the lives of former Nepal slaves and their families.
Malawi Community Project
True Sojourners' Malawi Community Project Fund was created to empower our local partner working with the local community to improve all aspects of living including education, food, utilities, small business, and spiritual care. This project is lead by a long term local partner who first started as a recipient of our Educational Scholarship Fund.
Refugee Aid
With representatives living and working in communities where the world’s highest concentration of refugees displaced by war and conflicts are currently located, True Sojourners is strategically positioned for a sustainable response to the refugee crisis. As an organization, True Sojourners is dedicated to not only providing for immediate physical needs, but more importantly, our workers are committed to the longer term well-being of these refugee communities. This kind of assistance is only possible through the development of personal relationships. Our workers are personally involved with the victims of the refugee crisis – they are no longer a photo on a news feed but beloved friends and neighbors. Your gift to the Refugee Aid fund will help provide True Sojourners with the resources needed to meet both the short-term physical needs as well as the longer term needs of our friends in the Middle East. True Sojourners has responded with relief and development – providing help as needed in education, vocation, medical care, etc.
Migrant Worker Aid
This fund is to aid individuals who are working outside of their own country to support their families. Funds can be used for the individual or their family to help with basic needs or improving their living conditions.
India Redemption School
The India Slum School fund supports the continued progress and sustainable development of this project by providing key resources where most needed. Your contributions maximize the impact of this project on the lives of students from the neediest families in India's slums.
